The 'Somewhere Band' collection (everyone's got to start somewhere!)

Speedy Fred
Kerry's Tune
Zum Zum Zum

All players should have their own sheet and mark on the order in which they should play each part (if they are to change parts at all).
The 'Somewhere Band' arrangements can be played in many ways.
For example:

  • Everyone plays the Melody twice then half of the players play Bass 1 part (twice) while the other half play the Melody again, one group plays the Inner part while the other group plays the Bass 2 part after which the two groups split into two groups with one group on each part to end the piece.
  • Start with four groups, one group to each part playing together, when they get to the end of each part they move to the next part so that each player plays all four parts.
  • Just use the Melody and Bass 1 parts and play it round and round until you 'get fed up'!
  • How about starting off with a solo player on the Melody part and gradually adding the other parts and people playing the melody together?

With each player having all the parts in front of them it is a simple matter to delegate who plays what and for some to try harder parts and others to support them with the easier parts.
